Hello Beautiful People!
It's been a little while since I've updated you. Not because exciting things aren't happening. On the contrary! So many exciting things have been happening but I haven't been able to share the news because it was Top Secret until now.
Remember a little while back when I posted that the head of a record label wanted to have a meeting with me? Well, that was Gary Overton, Chairman/CEO of SONY Nashville. And now your little Tech. Sergeant is OFFICIALLY a Sony Nashville recording artist! Can you believe it?! I wanted you to be the first to know.
Sony was so impressed with my story and with the dedication my fans showed during my Kickstarter campaign that they have offered to match the Kickstarter contributions to make an even more killer EP. It's going to sound SO awesome! Now I get to hire the A-List studio musicians to play, record in the most state-of-the-art studios in Nashville and package more copies of CDs for fans to buy at shows!!! Not only that, with Sony in my corner now, I will be able to mass market my EP and have a better shot at getting radio airplay. I'm so excited and happy! This has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. And it all started with a YouTube video :)
I'm so grateful and appreciative for the support each of your have shown through YouTube, Kickstarter, Facebook and Twitter. Your belief in me is a huge part of the reason that Sony believes in me. My working relationship with the Sony family thus far has been totally fun and exciting.
So, now that we're past the contract phase I can really start sharing everything that I'm up to! I'll be going into the studio to start the EP recording process on November 14th. As soon as it's mixed, mastered and packaged we will start sending them out to everyone who contributed on Kickstarter.
After that, I'll be hitting the road to sing for some NFL games during the holiday season. The dates will be posted to my FB and on OfficialAngieJohnson.com very soon. Hope to see some of you in those stadium seats!
And lastly, the most important piece of information that I know you guys are dying to know, YES, I am absolutely still in the Air National Guard serving one weekend a month and two weeks each summer :)
